It's a new Day and new model
I got my latest issue of Squadron mail order, and damn near had a heart attack over the prices of Tamiya 1/35 kits. Most of the molds are from the 70's and no real changes have been made. So why pay 55.00 for a well-worn Panzer IV J that has nothing special to it. Just the same old kit from forty years past, not even a PE fret to justify the cost of covering the tooling cost for the new BT-7 Russkie light tank. Is this how you recoup (RE-COOP, for the DEAR Leader in the White House who can;t prononuse Corpsman) your engineering costs Tamiya.
I'll plan to convert to 1/72 scale armor. At least UM from Russia is cheap and a wide line of obscure Russian and now American tanks.

Off the Mosque Reservation
What an enlightened world we live in where the enemies of our Country are ALLOWED to build a 100 million dollar "prayer" and community center only blocks from where 3000 fallen American will forever rest. Thanks to the Commie's of this County, we can only thank you for your enlightened approach to one world government and Social bliss. Worked so well in the Soviet Union.
My motto...when the enemy is at your gates' save the last bullet for yourself.
I would like to apply for a building permit to build a pork sausage factory right next door to the NYC mosque. Why not...I have a right to be annoying.
The best way to get revenge, is to be ten times more annoying than they are.
Do you really think the Iron Workers union will erect steel? Hell no!
Do you really think the Concrete folks will lay one pound of concrete? Hell no!
Do you really think the NYPD will offer the best security? Probably...though reluctantly.
Another classless, brain-dead move on the part of our Dear Leader in the Reichs Chancellory.
Now say thank you America and ask for some more porage please.

T-55
In a bouut of frustration over the King Tiger project...like everything else 95% done and on the shelt it goes. I am now tackling the ECSI T-55. Yes I like pain and simplicity.

Toledo M4A3 Sherman
Sitting out front of an Ohio National Guard base in Perrysburg, Ohio. A very nice M4A3 Sherman with dry storage plates. Older tri-color camouflage used by many Reserve and National Guard units from 1960-1980. Sherman is in very nice condition and I have taken some good photos for modeling reference use.

M113 at Ravenna
here's an odd ball M113 sitting in one of the storage barns at the OANG Depot at Ravenna Arsenal. This is NOT a photoshop re-touch this is the actual color. This M113 has a hull number of 33, so it is the 33rd one off the line. No know history as to why this was painted like this, but this is the original color and may have been used as a base security vehicle at a certain place in Nevada that may or may not exists. So if you wanted to paint an M113 turquoise with OD wheels....here's your picture proof.

M75 APC
Here's a nice gem located in Lorain, Ohio. An M75 APC with flamethrower turret. While not produced in large numbers, the M75 blazed the developement trial for the M113 series. This M75 is in good condition, and I have plenty of pictures of this vehicle. So if you wish for a CD of this M75, please drop me a note.

Tiger II update
About 50% done. Paint scheme will be in standard Panzer Grey. Okay...so there were no King Tigers in the field in Panzer Grey. Correct Kato...but there were King Tigers used as traing platforms that WERE in panzer grey.

Revell 1/72 Tiger II Porsche turret
So while suffering from a bought of OCD, I have completed 50% of the Tamiya Tiger I and have moved on to the Revell 1/72 Tiger II Porsche turret version. Not a bad little kit. Good detail to the turret and hull, a little soft on the track detail.
No zimmerit, why bother on this one. Might be a conternder for an upcoming club contest.

Tiger I build
To start things off. Working on the Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I Early. A very sweet kit, goes together with hardly a problem. Will probably make this an early 1943 Russian front in panzer grey.

Happy New Year Pt. 2
So this is the Chinese year of the TIGER. A wonderful event for us armor modellers that only come around every twelve years. So, what not have the first contest of 2010.
Send in your photos of a current or previous build. Tiger I, Tiger II and and associated cat named AFV can be entered. Spread the word and let us see how many picture can be posted.
